I AM AN EMPLOYEE AT AN AREA COMPANY 1. Make sure you get permission from your management team to lead efforts in support of the Manna Food-for-$5 campaign. Some companies have strict policies prohibiting employees from being asked to support fundraisers. 2. Once permission is granted, and depending on the size of the office, you might decide to assign more than one team captain to help with displaying support materials and collection of funds. 3. Complete and submit the Sign-up form on this website so that Manna’s marketing team at BPM can deliver your collection pouch and receipt booklet. This also allows us to celebrate your commitment to the campaign. 4. Download and print out the promotional materials from our online toolbox. Posters, knob hangers, table tents and screen savers are all available. Make it known that you and the captains are available to accept donations anytime. 5. Distribute the promotional materials in high traffic areas and places most likely to be seen by co-workers. 6. Send out an email before each payday during the month encouraging a $5 donation. 7. Make sure each person receives a receipt including the amount donated. A receipt booklet will be furnished before the campaign begins. Manna will send a thank you to each donor including the amount donated to assure the individual that the donation was appropriately allocated. ** Although $5 dollars is the target donation amount, please make it clear that all donations are appreciated and make a difference. ** Consider an internal competition or matching program to get co-workers excited about participating. We want to celebrate your creativity and share your ideas with others so let us know what you are doing. ** Funds will be collected at the end of November with plans to announce total Food-for-$5 collections in the local press soon thereafter. Manna thanks you for your participation. A few dollars can do a lot of good and may none of us ever experience what it must feel like to go hungry. Manna Food Pantries |
