Thank you

For participating in the Manna Food-for-$5 campaign. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Please take the time to send your donation to the Manna Headquarters:

Manna Food Pantries

Manna Pantries is excited to launch the 2nd annual Manna Food-for-$5 campaign during the month of November. As a friend of Manna, you can play a significant role in the campaign’s success!

Manna Food-for-$5 is a grassroots campaign by and for the community.  Everyone with $5 to spare within Escambia and Santa Rosa counties can make a difference on behalf of families – our neighbors – experiencing real hunger.  A $5 pledge by each and every one of us who can, translates to potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars to address the emergency food needs of Manna’s clients.

Manna is looking to local organizations and area businesses to support the campaign by collecting $5 from employees who can afford it, during the month of November. Food-for-$5 funds will help Manna to stock its pantries, provide nutritionally balanced meals and enhance client services through food stamp registration programs, community garden harvests and more.

Choose your support level and begin now.

Who is Manna?

Established in 1982, Manna is a private, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to alleviating hunger in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Manna is nonsectarian, community-focused, volunteer-supported, and committed to the philosophy - “waste not, want not.”

In giving of our resources, we believe that every person has a right to live free of hunger. The demand for emergency food services in our local communities is growing at an alarming rate, with a 43% increase in families served by Manna year-over-year from June

2006 to June 2007. Manna now serves over 20,000 persons in northwest Florida annually through a network of ten distribution sites spread throughout the two-county area.

There are no costs for any of the program services of Manna Pantries, either to the client or to the referral source. Manna operates with minimal government support and is dependent on donations of both food and funds to sustain its operation and to assist a growing base of men, women and children facing hunger in our local communities each and every day.
